A leading company in the Water Treatment sector is looking for a Water Treatment Service Chemist to join their team. This home-based position covers contracts across the South East and requires a degree in a chemistry-based subject or extensive experience as a Field Chemist. The role involves sampling and analysis of industrial water systems, producing client reports, and managing accounts. Qualifications

  • Previous account management or sales experience beneficial.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Water Treatment and associated guidelines.
  • Proven track record of managing own schedule and workload.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out sampling and analysis of Industrial Steam Boilers and Cooling Towers.
  • Analyze samples and dose with inhibitors/chemicals.
  • Produce service reports for clients.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss findings and provide advice.
  • Manage existing accounts and secure new business opportunities.

Job Title: Water Treatment Service / Field Chemist
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
Salary: 32k – 45k
Level of Experience: Water Treatment Engineer through to Lead Service Chemist

Profile:
A leading name within the Water Treatment Sector, who provides expert Industrial Water Treatment / Water Hygiene and Legionella Services to both Public and Private Sector clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are currently looking to recruit a professional and technical Water Treatment Service Chemist in or around the Milton Keynes area. The role would suit a client focused individual with experience undertaking the sampling and analysis of industrial water systems. Previous experience managing water treatment accounts would be advantageous but not essential. In return the client can offer the successful candidate a company car/allowance, well paid travel time rates, excellent holidays, and development into account management.

The position will be homebased, cover contracts across the South East, Home Counties and South Midlands region. Applications will be considered from; Northampton, Towcester, Buckingham, Brackley, Bicester, Aylesbury, Banbury, Bedford, Luton, Stevenage, St Albans, Hitchin, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications
  • Will be educated to Degree level (ideally within a chemistry-based subject) or have extensive experience working as a Field Chemist within a Water Treatment company.
  • Previous account management or sales experience would be beneficial to the role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Water Treatment industry and associated guidelines and legislation.
  • Proven track record of managing own schedule and workload.
  • Excellent communication skill – both written and verbal.
Role
  • Carrying out sampling and analysis of Industrial Steam Boilers and Cooling Towers across Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sites.
  • Carrying out Closed System analysis of heated and chilled water systems, analysing samples and dosing with inhibitors/ chemicals.
  • Producing service reports for clients.
  • Attending client meetings to discuss findings and provide advice.
  • Managing existing accounts as well as resourcing and securing new business. Identifying commercial opportunities within accounts and upselling services.
