Due to a number of new contracts our client is looking to recruit an experienced Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Oldham area. Consideration will be given to applications from Bolton, Bury, Burnley, Chorley and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a water treatment engineer within the water treatment sector.
• Relevant knowledge of boiler testing, cooling towers, onsite analysis and familiarity with current guidelines – ACOP L8.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Role

• Cover various contracts including residential, commercial and industrial properties.
• Routine sampling, monitoring and analysis of water systems on steam boilers, cooling towers, etc.
• Monitor air and water systems to ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
• Service hot and cold water systems, chemical tank cleans, chemical analysis and test kits.
• Descale and maintain showerheads, calorifiers, taps, etc.
• Maintain paperwork and provide accurate reports for works undertaken.
• Build professional working relationships with clients.
