Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Gloucester is seeking a Water Technician - Level 2 to support water hygiene and Legionella compliance across hospital sites on a fixed-term contract.

The role involves carrying out maintenance, sampling and testing, and ensuring water systems remain safe and compliant. You will work at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry with occasional travel across the Midlands, covering cold water storage, TMV servicing, and logbook maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water Hygiene, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Treatment.
• Experience leading cold water tank cleaning and working in confined spaces.
• Good knowledge of ACoP L8 requirements and water system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella maintenance PPMs, water sampling, chemical testing, remedial cleaning and minor plumbing works.
• Lead cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection activities in line with ACoP L8.
• Test, service and maintain TMVs, including replacements of filters and cartridges.
• Maintain accurate water logbooks and compliance documentation across sites.

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000

We're looking for a Water Technician - Level 2 to support a fixed contract at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry, with occasional travel across the Midlands. You'll play a key role in delivering water hygiene and Legionella compliance services, ensuring water systems remain safe, compliant and operational.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella maintenance PPMs, water sampling, chemical testing, remedial cleaning and minor plumbing works.
• Lead cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection activities, ensuring all work is completed in line with ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Test, service and maintain TMVs, including the replacement of TMV and TMT filters and cartridges.
• Maintain accurate water logbooks and compliance documentation across customer sites.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Previous experience within Water Hygiene, Legionella Monitoring, Compliance Servicing or Water Treatment.
• Experience leading cold water tank cleaning activities and working in confined spaces.
• Good knowledge of ACoP L8 requirements and water system maintenance.
