Qualifications

• Strong communication is required in every part of this role.
• Ability to work alone and in a team, thriving in both environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine monitoring tasks as per L8, with mobile site visits.
• Be an ambassador for Mitie during client site visits.
• Maintain water log books and documentation per guidelines.
• Collect water samples and record them per procedures.
• Carry out water system cleaning and disinfections per L8 and policy.
• Test, service and maintain thermostatic valves and basic plumbing.
• Ability to work on heating/chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide dosing is desirable but not essential.
• Communicate daily with the service department to confirm task completion.
• Maintain stocks of chemicals and materials as needed.
• Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.

ROLE: Water Technician - Level 2

HOURS: 40 hours per week

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Mobile Water Hygiene Technician to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements. Are you a person who can deliver a high quality of service, with a keen eye for detail?

Main Duties

• Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.


• To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers sites.


• Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.


• To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.


• Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.


• Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.


• The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide / dosing systems is desirable but not essential.


• To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.


• Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.


• Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.
