Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the design of a portfolio of water sector projects across the UK. You will head the structural design, review outputs, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver safe, efficient and innovative solutions.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, interface with clients and other design disciplines, and contribute to project success through strong technical leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in design of heavy civil structures for water & wastewater projects.
• Ability to lead and oversee detailed design activities and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of water-sector projects from concept to delivery.
• Oversee detailed design work by others and prepare high-quality drawings and calculations.
