Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Resources Sustainability Manager to join the Water Resources team in Leeds. This permanent, 37-hour-week role offers hybrid working with office days in Leeds and travel as needed across Yorkshire.

You will lead long-term plans for sustainable water resources, deliver environmental programmes, and build relationships with regulators and partners to drive alignment and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental, engineering, scientific or related discipline.
• Experience in water/environmental sectors, regulated environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources sustainability programme shaping long-term resilience.
• Oversee Environmental Destination, WINEP and related programmes to timescales and budgets.
• Develop evidence for plans like Water Resources Management Plans and Drought Plans.
• Build relationships with regulators and partners to drive alignment.
• Forecast environmental risks and translate into delivery plans.
• Collaborate across teams to balance environmental, customer and affordability needs.
• Lead a small team of specialists in a safety-focused environment.
• Represent Yorkshire Water externally to influence industry approaches.
