Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director/Technical Director to lead the Catchment Science team on major infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on water quality. You will mentor junior staff, steer project delivery, and work with the Water Quality Service Lead to plan services and win work.

Although UK-based, you will collaborate with WSP teams worldwide and contribute to training, developing innovative solutions for clients across water resources, housing, transport and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in geography, geology, geochemistry, earth/environmental science, civil engineering or similar.
• A higher degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not essential.
• Chartership with a relevant professional body is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of water quality projects across catchment-scale studies.
• Provide project direction including financial and change control and quality assurance.
• Mentor, develop and supervise junior colleagues; potential for formal People Management.
• Develop and deliver water quality training programmes with the Water Quality Service Lead.
• Define scopes of services with the team and Water Quality Service Lead.
• Generate high quality bid proposals and develop innovative client solutions.
• Produce client- and public-facing deliverables with clear data visualization and interpretation.
