Job summary

WSP in the UK seeks an Associate / Technical Director to lead the Catchment Science team’s water quality projects with a major infrastructure focus. You will direct technical delivery, mentor juniors, and develop bid proposals while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role involves cross-disciplinary collaboration, developing training programmes, and supervising high-quality deliverables for national projects. Hybrid working with flexible hours is offered.

Qualifications

• Understanding UK/EU water quality regulations and policies.
• Experience with surface water quality and catchment modelling tools.
• Strong understanding of UK water quality regulatory framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of water quality projects from start to finish.
• Provide project direction including budget, scope and QA.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff; support training programs.
• Develop and agree scopes of services with the team.
• Generate high-quality bid proposals and client solutions.
• Produce client-facing deliverables with clear data visualization.
