Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Water Network Technician to join the Integrated Maintenance, repair and development services team. This field-based role covers Bedford, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, with a company van provided for travel and on-site site work to maintain water quality.

You will perform planned maintenance and respond to emergencies, using asset maps, leak detection and valve operations while communicating clearly with customers and providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
• Experience in an engineering environment, ideally front-line service.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Ideally experience with water networks, street works and leakage control.
• Excellent customer communication to explain terminology to the public.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and respond to emergencies to maintain the water network.
• Perform flushing, surveying, leak detections, pressure and flow tests, and valve operations.
• Use asset maps and data/tools to resolve planned and reactive operational issues in a timely manner.
• Travel to various locations within the region; liaise with customers and provide high levels of service.
