Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Network Maintenance Operator for their Lanarkshire Water Response team. You will inspect and repair the water network, using specialist equipment, and ensure water flow while adhering to safety and regulatory procedures.

The role is field-based with independent work on shifts, including 24/7 standby. Benefits include 38 days annual leave, a defined benefit pension, life assurance, full training, and a van with PPE.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to follow procedures and stay safe at all times.
• Experience in utilities, street works, construction, groundworks, plant or machinery-based roles is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks and maintenance on the water network.
• Investigate customer-reported problems and resolve issues to keep water flowing.
• Record work and updates using mobile systems.
• Work on a 24/7 standby rota and on-call duties.
