Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Network Service Operative for the Isle of Skye and surrounding area on a full-time permanent contract. You’ll diagnose leaks, manage pumps and tanks, investigate customer supply issues and work with the leadership team to plan large operations.

You’ll ensure safety, communicate with stakeholders and help train new team members while maintaining service standards. The role offers a dynamic, customer-centric environment with flexible standby rosters for out-of-hours

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOMS policies, risk assessment method statements, hygiene code
• Top-notch communication skills are essential to inform customers and colleagues
• Valid driving licence required for driving on Scottish Water business

Responsibilities

• Identify leaks on the network and manage pumps and tanks
• Investigate customer supply issues and coordinate with stakeholders
• Prioritise tasks and support training of new team members
• Collect data, report on customer issues and promote follow-on work to recover service
• Liaise with contractors and plan larger operational activities
