Job summary

Scottish Water in Lanarkshire is seeking Network Maintenance Operators to join the Water Response team. This is a field-based role delivering essential public service with a 35-hour week and standby rotations.

You’ll perform routine checks on the water network, investigate faults, carry out repairs using specialist equipment, and keep records on mobile systems. Training and PPE are provided, with a company van for travel.

Qualifications

• Full UK-issued driving licence.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
• Calm, practical approach when dealing with customers.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures at all times.
• Basic IT skills, using mobile devices to receive updates and record work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks and maintenance on the water network.
• Investigate issues reported by customers or control centre and resolve to keep water flowing.
• Use specialist equipment to repair, identify bursts and implement short-term solutions.
• Record work, performance and updates using mobile systems.
