Job summary

Scottish Water is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operative to join the Forth West team in the central area (Denny to Bo'ness via Stirling and Falkirk). You will operate treatment processes, perform maintenance, and help ensure compliance and reliable service for customers.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team, with opportunities to develop skills, participate in out-of-hours standby, and benefit from flexible working and a strong pension, 38 days holiday plus options to buy more leave.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wastewater treatment works and assets, including clearing choked pumps and routine maintenance.
• Respond to reactive work on treatment processes and ensure compliance.
• Complete required reporting to measure performance and support continuous improvement.
• Follow Scottish Water safety policies and perform safety checks on plant, equipment and vehicles at height and in confined spaces.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
