Job summary

Southern Water invites applications for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Water Infrastructure team on a hybrid role in Falmer. You will support delivery of key projects, coordinating with the Project Manager and stakeholders to meet time, cost and quality targets.

This permanent role offers 37 hours a week, starting salary around £36,400 with the potential to grow with experience as you contribute to a major programme of works and gain exposure to regulatory and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organisational abilities and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Project Support: Assist the PM in daily management, supervision and coordination of projects to meet time, cost and quality objectives.
• Site Inspections: Attend project sites to monitor progress and ensure H&S, quality, environmental and security standards.
• Project Documentation: Help prepare monthly status reports, cost forecasts and communications using systems like CEMAR.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Support liaising with Developers, Clients, Service Providers and internal teams.
• Project Delivery: Assist in managing small/medium projects or components of larger schemes to high standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Conduct Domestic Water Regulation inspections and assist in commercial works.
• Governance & Reporting: Support production of project documentation including risk and change management.
