Job summary

IES Utilities is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead water infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable operations across the Water Division.

The role requires extensive experience in water network operations, mains rehabilitation, trenchless technologies and HDD, with a track record of managing budgets and teams to deliver projects on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Contracts Manager role within the water industry.
• Extensive knowledge of water mains rehabilitation, repair and maintenance, HDD and trenchless technologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams with budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Water Division and coordinate multiple projects.
• Ensure safety, on-time delivery, within budget and to quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance and drive efficiency improvements.
• Recruit, develop and mentor operational staff and drive continuous improvement.
