Job summary

360 Recruitment is assisting a leading principal contractor to appoint an ambitious Contracts/Operations Manager to lead the Water division across the Midlands and North. The role offers strategic leadership over delivery, growth, and client relationships, with responsibility for major water infrastructure projects.

You will drive operational delivery, bid support, and compliance across HSEQ standards, reporting to senior leadership, and mentoring project teams.

Qualifications

Proven experience within the water and civil engineering sectors.
Strong operational and project delivery background.
Experience managing major infrastructure projects and/or framework contracts.
Demonstrable ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong commercial awareness and leadership capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead the operational delivery of water and civil engineering projects across the Midlands and North.
Manage multiple project teams, ensuring safe, successful, and profitable project delivery.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and framework providers.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the water sector.
Drive the growth strategy for the division and support future expansion plans.
Oversee project performance, commercial outcomes, and resource planning.
Ensure compliance with all HSEQ standards and industry regulations.
Support tendering activities, bid submissions, and strategic business development initiatives.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to project and site teams.
