Overview

A well-established and rapidly expanding water hygiene/water treatment company specialising in legionella and water treatment disciplines is now hoping to recruit an experienced and competent Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Bolton area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background and will be experienced in carrying out routine duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring and tank cleans. Consideration will be given to applications from Manchester, Oldham, Wigan, Stockport and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience
  • Applicants must come from a good chemical and water treatment background.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Experience working in this role within the water treatment industry.
  • BSRIA experience would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and carrying out temperature checks and inspection of hot and cold water tanks, etc.
  • Conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems including storage tanks, calorifiers and cooling towers.
  • Descaling, disinfection and flushing of shower heads.
  • Dealing with TMV’s.
  • Maintenance of paperwork regarding works carried out.
  • Building and maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as required.

In general, the post-holder will possess a good work ethic and have a positive attitude. Must be able to pass high security clearance.
