Job Overview

Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary/Benefits: £22k – £34k + Training + Benefits

Our client is a leading expert in Water Hygiene / Water Treatment company. They are now looking to take on a Water Hygiene Engineer based within the Yorkshire region. You will be responsible for carrying out L8 management services on High Security, Food & Beverage, Healthcare and Heavy Industry sites.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Bradford, Keighley, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Worksop.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience working as an engineer for a Water Hygiene / Legionella company
  • Excellent knowledge of HSG / ACoP L8 guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage work in line with company/client needs
  • Ability to work weekends in line with company needs (beneficial)
  • IT literate
Responsibilities
  • Conduct water sampling and temperature monitoring
  • Perform cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold-water systems
  • TMV servicing and failsafes
  • Showerhead cleaning and descaling
  • Carry out sampling and dosing of closed systems (beneficial, not essential)
  • Cooling tower cleans and disinfections (beneficial, not essential)
  • Update onsite logbooks upon completion of works
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with ACoP L8 / HSG guidelines
