AECOM invites school leavers to join our Apprentice Development Programme in Water Civil Engineering. You will be paired with an experienced engineer to guide you through live projects and business development tasks.

The programme emphasizes on-the-job learning, chartership through ICE, and progression toward professional accreditation, with hybrid work options and supportive training networks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Three A-Levels (or equivalent) including Maths and a physical science.
• Some work experience or shadowing in engineering is advantageous.
• A keen interest in Water Civil Engineering.
• Aptitude for CAD and 3D drawing software.

Responsabilités

• Undertake technical/feasibility studies on potable, surface, foul water and attenuation needs.
• Design water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks with safety considerations.
• Produce technical drawings: plans, sections, typical details.
• Perform numerical analysis using computer-based tools.
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory guidance affecting design work.
• Collaborate with team on technical work, site visits, and project management.
• Opportunity for site visits to understand design implementation.
