Job summary
Hydro International is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to service and repair wastewater equipment in our Dorset workshop with occasional UK-site visits. You will strip, inspect, rebuild and refurbish pumps and heavy machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose faults to component level.
The role combines workshop work with field duties, demanding safety discipline, teamwork, and stout fault-finding abilities. Driving licence is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience servicing and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Welding and fabrication experience (MMA essential).
- Water/ wastewater industry experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain mechanical and industrial equipment.
- Strip, inspect, rebuild, and refurbish machinery and pumps.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to component level.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare survey reports.
- Work safely in the workshop and on customer sites.
- Access and interpret technical instructions via devices.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other trades to deliver high-quality work.
