Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the UK Wastewater Services team in Dumfries. You will install, commission and test water filtration systems on sewage sites and support water utilities across the United Kingdom.

The role requires a City & Guilds qualification, a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and a current driving licence, with regular site visits, occasional overnight stays and time in workshops nationwide.

Qualifications

• Current Valid Driving License.
• City & Guilds Qualified.
• Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage).
• Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
• Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.
• Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
