Job summary

Hydro International, part of CRH, is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our wastewater services team in the UK. You will service, repair, and refurbish wastewater equipment in our workshop and on customer sites across the UK.

The ideal candidate has a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification, and solid fault-finding skills, with a driving licence and willingness for site work.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical installation and maintenance.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical and industrial equipment.
• Strip, inspect, rebuild, and refurbish machinery, pumps, and heavy industrial equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs down to component level.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare survey reports where required.
• Work safely and effectively both in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using electronic devices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other trades to deliver high-quality work and customer service.
