Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a detail-oriented Section Engineer for our wastewater construction team based in Hogsmill, Surrey. You will bridge design and construction, providing technical support to ensure safe, on-time delivery to the required standards.

You will review drawings and specs, support engineering assurance, and coordinate site activities while maintaining compliance with CDM regulations and internal procedures. A relevant degree and CSCS card are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Practical experience on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on site coordination.
• CSCS card and full driving licence; proficient in MS Office and construction software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design documentation and ensure works follow approved drawings and specs.
• Support construction teams with technical queries and value engineering.
• Manage and coordinate temporary works designs and approvals.
• Monitor progress and provide technical input for reporting and planning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, CDM regulations, and internal quality procedures.
