Pertemps Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the Maintenance team at Mill Green STW (AL9 5PE). The role focuses on keeping equipment safe and efficient through proactive and reactive maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and support trainees while contributing to a greener water future. The position offers a 38-hour week (Mon-Fri), with standby and overtime potential that can increase earnings, plus

Formación

• ONC/HNC, NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Eng. is essential.
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces with proper training.
• A valid driving licence is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate plant failures and perform rapid repairs to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training support to technical trainees as needed.
• Work on equipment such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and control gear.
• Carry out statutory checks and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Conocimientos

Valid driving licence

Mechanical maintenance experience

Health & safety awareness

Educación

ONC/HNC in engineering or NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical engineering
