Job summary

Thames Water Ltd. is hiring a Mechanical Technician for our Mill Green STW maintenance team. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of waste-water equipment through proactive and reactive maintenance.

Role includes diagnostic repairs, technical guidance, and training. Requires ONC/HNC in engineering or equivalent, a valid driving licence, and a strong safety focus. 38 hours/week with standby and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ or CG Level 3 in mechanical engineering is crucial.
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
• A valid driving licence is essential and PPE/tools are provided.

Responsibilities

• Investigate plant failures and perform repairs quickly to avoid interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training for technical trainees when required.
• Work on equipment such as motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and control gear.
• Complete statutory checks as required.
• Always work safely and adhere to health and safety requirements.
