Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Northampton is seeking an operational team member to move and load waste and support safe, compliant daily waste handling. Responsibilities include reporting contamination and non-compliant waste batteries, and staying in contact with the team by two‑way radio.

You will work as part of a team, monitor safety and environmental concerns, check vehicles, and stop work if unsafe, in a role that emphasizes inclusion and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experienced working in an operational environment.
• 360 & grab license desirable.
• Previous experience in a waste management environment.

Responsibilities

• Move and load waste
• Report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries
• Report all service, safety and environmental concerns
• Work as a team
• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio
• Look out for each other and our customers
• Check all vehicles before using them, report defects
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to line manager
• Stay alert for fires, report smoke, smouldering and flames, commitment to fair treatment and inclusive workplace
