Job summary

Veolia in Northampton is seeking a hands-on operative to support our waste management operations. This role requires strict PPE adherence and active participation in moving and loading waste, reporting any contamination, safety or environmental concerns, and coordinating with the team via two-way radio.

You will work collaboratively to safeguard customers, check vehicles for defects, and stop work if unsafe conditions arise, contributing to Veolia's mission of ecological transformation in a

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE.
• Move and load waste.
• Report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries.
• Report all service, safety and environmental concerns.
• Work as a team.
• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio.
• Look out for each other and our customers.
• Check all vehicles before using them, report defects.
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to line manager.
• Stay alert for fires, report smoke, smouldering and flames.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00-17:00 with flexibility
