Job summary

Veolia in Northampton is seeking an operative to support our waste management operations at NN5. You will wear PPE, load and move waste, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This role is 40 hours per week, 08:00-17:00 with flexibility, offering £32,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits, and a benefits package that includes pension, health support, volunteering days and training opportunities. You will report safety concerns and contribute to our ecological transformation vision.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE.
• Move and load waste.
• Report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries.
• Report all service, safety and environmental concerns.
• Work as a team.
• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio.
• Look out for each other and our customers.
• Check all vehicles before using them, report defects.
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to line manager.
• Stay alert for fires, report smoke, smouldering and flames.
