Job summary

Dawsongroup EMC is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to win new business in the Waste and Municipal sector. You will promote smarter contract hire and rental solutions, targeting local authorities and fleet operators across your region.

You will develop relationships with key decision makers, manage long sales cycles, and drive revenue growth with a focus on RCVs and specialist vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste, municipal, environmental or specialist fleet sectors.
• Existing relationships within local authorities, waste operators or municipal contractors advantageous.
• Experience selling contract hire, rental and municipal fleet solutions, RCVs or specialist commercial vehicles.
• Confidence managing long sales cycles, tenders, procurement processes and negotiations.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities for Refuse Collection Vehicles and municipal fleet solutions within a designated region.
• Target local authorities, waste management companies, environmental contractors and commercial fleet operators to secure new contracts.
• Convert customers from outright purchase to rental and contract hire solutions.
• Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract award.
• Deliver revenue, fleet utilisation and growth targets through proactive business development activity.
