Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are recruiting Waste Collection Operatives just outside Norwich. The role involves collecting general waste, recycling and garden waste on a fixed schedule, with full training provided.

A full driving licence is desirable but not essential, and the job requires reliability and teamwork in all weather conditions. Hours are early, with a 4–5 day pattern including Tuesdays to Fridays and Saturdays when required.

Location: Just outside Norwich
Hours: 06:00–16:00
Working Pattern: 4–5 days per week, mainly Tuesday–Friday, with Saturdays when required
Training: Full training provided
Driving Licence: Desirable but not essential

The Role

Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting Waste Collection Operatives on behalf of our client, based just outside Norwich.

This is a hands-on and physically active position working as part of a team to collect domestic waste from local properties, including general waste, recycling and garden waste.

You’ll be working to a strict daily schedule, so reliability, teamwork and a good work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting domestic general waste, recycling and garden waste.

• Loading and unloading waste bins throughout the working day.

• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection routes.

• Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties.

• Working efficiently to meet daily schedules and collection targets.

• Following all Health & Safety procedures.

• Maintaining a professional approach when working in the community.

• Supporting other members of the team to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
