South Cambridgeshire District Council is seeking a Refuse Loader on a temporary-to-permanent basis. You will join a collection crew, loading and moving household waste and recycling across local routes and walking long distances throughout the day.
The role is physically demanding with 6:00am start and four-day working week, outdoors in all weather, requiring reliable transport to work. Pay starts at £13.77/hr and rises to £15.00/hr after 12 weeks.

As a Refuse Loader, you will work as part of a collection crew, helping to collect household waste and recycling across the local area.
This is aphysically demanding role. You can expect to walk between20,000 and 30,000 steps per dayand regularly lift and move bins, some of which can be heavy.
The working hours are6:00am – 3:45pm, Tuesday to Friday. You will bepaid for the full scheduled working day, although crews will typically finish earlier once their route has been completed.
