Job summary

ABM Facility Services UK are recruiting a Cleaning/Waste Operative for a full-time role in the Wynyard area. You will work 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift, with a fixed-term 12-week contract and a rate of £12.94 per hour, in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The successful candidate must be able to work alone or as part of a team, wear PPE, follow health and safety rules, and complete all required training.

Qualifications

• Good cleaning knowledge and practices.
• Ability to follow health and safety requirements.
• Capable of working under pressure in a busy warehouse.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to participate in DBS checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial tasks and waste removal in a warehouse setting.
• Maintain clean welfare areas including washrooms, break rooms and canteen.
• Handle on-site waste and ensure readiness for transport.
• Use sweepers and scrubbers; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Respond to spillages and client callouts; communicate with team.
