Job summary

ABM Facility Services UK is hiring Cleaning/Waste Operatives for a full-time, permanent role in Wakefield. You will work 4-On/4-Off, 38.5 hours weekly, delivering janitorial and waste removal services across welfare areas, production floors, and external spaces.

Training is provided, and you will use cleaning equipment like sweepers and scrubbers in a fast-paced environment. The role requires good English communication, reliability, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out janitorial and waste removal tasks in warehouse and production areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in washrooms, break rooms, canteens, and social areas.
• Handle waste streams and prepare for transportation.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers and maintain equipment.
• Respond to spillages and client callouts; communicate with team and supervisor.
• Follow PPE rules and safety policies; complete full training on cleaning methods.
