Job summary

ABM Facility Services UK are recruiting Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a full-time contract for a high profile client at the Amazon NCL1 site. The successful candidate will work 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off pattern, with a rate of £13.44 per hour.

You will handle janitorial duties and waste removal in a fast-paced warehouse setting, receive full training, and work with a supportive team to maintain clean, safe facilities on site.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory basic DBS check and willingness to submit to drug testing.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to adapt to a very busy operational environment.
• Reliable and flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Must be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out janitorial and waste removal duties in a warehouse setting.
• Provide a high standard of janitorial service in welfare areas and production spaces.
• Handle waste via approved streams and prepare for transport.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Respond promptly to spillages and client callouts.
• Communicate effectively with the team and line manager.
• Wear PPE and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Undergo full training on cleaning methods and equipment.
• Full training will be provided.
