Job summary

ABM UK is recruiting Cleaning/Waste Operatives for a full-time, permanent role in the Wakefield area. You will join a team delivering janitorial and waste removal services in a fast-paced environment, with training provided on all methods and equipment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo DBS check and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.

• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Role requires physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and waste removal tasks in a warehouse setting.
• Provide thorough cleaning in welfare areas, including washrooms, break rooms, and canteen.
• Handle on-site waste using approved streams and prepare for transport.
• Operate cleaning equipment (walk-behind and ride-on) and maintain equipment.
• Respond to spillages and client callouts on site.
• Communicate effectively with team and line manager.
• Wear PPE and follow Health & Safety policies.
• Work independently or as part of a team and communicate with client staff.
• Receive full training on cleaning methods and equipment.
