Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Warehousing & Logistics Shift Manager to join our Operations team in the UK. You will lead daily shift operations to safeguard our customers' assets, empower your team, and drive continuous improvements while balancing hands-on leadership with strategic resource planning.

The ideal candidate will have several years of shift management experience in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse, solid WMS knowledge, and proven leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in shift management or supervision within a fast-paced 3PL warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), workforce planning, and operational KPI tracking.
• Proven team leadership skills with a track record of coaching employees and building strong team engagement.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to resolve operational challenges under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations: Oversee daily warehouse processes including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet service levels.
• Develop operational teams: Coach, mentor, and build an engaged, high-performing workforce focused on safety and quality.
• Manage resources and performance: Plan daily staffing, track key operational KPIs, and manage shift costs to meet demand.
• Maintain safety and compliance: Conduct workplace inspections and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and security protocols.
• Drive operational efficiency: Resolve daily process bottlenecks and implement practical continuous improvement initiatives.
