Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Northampton is recruiting a Warehouse Team Manager to lead a busy, multi‑temperature site, overseeing ambient, produce and chill areas.

You will coach, motivate and engage your team to foster a strong culture and work ethic while directing on‑shift operations from 14:00 to 22:00 on a five‑day rota. The package includes a salary up to £35,962.50 per year plus a £195 monthly shift allowance, 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible dental insurance, a company

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement

Responsibilities

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
