Job summary

GXO Logistics in Northampton is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to lead a busy team across ambient, produce and chill areas on the back shift (14:00–22:00). You will coach, motivate and engage staff to foster a strong team culture and excellent work ethic in a multi-temperature warehouse.

The role requires proven experience managing large operational teams in fast-paced environments, plus the ability to drive continuous improvement and maintain strong onsite communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally food operation).
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects with strong planning skills.
• Excellent communication to maintain on-site engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational activities on the shift to meet the work plan, budget and KPIs.
• Drive performance through effective coaching and monitoring of results.
• Review shift performance and identify areas for improvement.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our very busy, Sainsbury's team at our site in Northampton. This is a multi-temperature environment covering ambient, produce and chill chambers. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

You'll be working any 5 days from 7 on the back shift, 14:00 - 22:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £35,962.50 per annum plus a £195.00 per calendar month shift allowance and 33 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
• The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
