Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is recruiting a Warehouse Team Manager for our Sainsbury’s site in Northampton. You will lead a busy, multi-temperature warehouse operation, coaching and engaging a team to deliver high performance and a strong work ethic.

Working on the back shift 14:00–22:00, you will drive the day-by-day performance, implement continuous improvements, and ensure safety and on-time completion of the work plan. We offer a competitive salary and generous leave and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
• Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
• Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
