Job summary

InPost is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Supervisor at our Preston hub. You will supervise day‑to‑day warehouse operations, lead a dedicated team, and drive efficiency while meeting customer deadlines.

Your role involves planning staff needs, training, and promoting safety in a fast‑paced environment. Key tasks include coaching team members, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring quality control across labeling and sortation processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role, motivating and managing teams to achieve performance targets.
• Proven ability to forecast staff requirements, manage rotas and annual leave.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, labeling, sortation and safety standards.
• Excellent communication to give clear directions under pressure and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
• Assist in planning staffing and rotas to ensure full coverage.
• Ensure labeling, sortation and productivity targets are achieved with quality control.
• Induct and train new staff and contractors, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth operations across the business.
• Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe warehouse environment and uphold company standards.
