Job summary

RKW Ltd operates a Stone Distribution Centre and is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to supervise the Post department and coordinate daily warehouse activities. The role requires rotating shifts (6:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:00) on a 3-week cycle, with weekend coverage as per rota.

You will lead operatives, drive performance, ensure safe, timely completion of tasks, and continuously improve productivity in a busy distribution environment.

Description

RKW Ltd is now hiring for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at our Stone Distribution Centre, focusing primarily on the Post department.

This role will operate on a 6:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:00 rotating shift pattern, on a 3-week cycle, working 6 am to 6pm on weekends as per shifts rota (one in three weekends).

Example rota:

Anyone adopting this shift pattern 1,725 hrs per annumwill be the hours worked, therefore, to ensure 1950 hours are as standard, we will require 225 hours to be made up throughout the year covering annual leave and help where needed.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will work collaboratively with the Warehouse Management team and be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities, leading a team of operatives, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of operational tasks.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across performance, productivity, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all processes are followed in line with company procedures and standards
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve performance targets
• Monitor KPIs and drive efficiency and continuous improvement
• Ensure operational targets and service levels are consistently met
• Support the resolution of operational issues and customer-related queries
• Maintain control of stock, equipment, and consumables
• Manage staff training and development to ensure flexibility and coverage
• Oversee attendance, timekeeping, and absence management
• Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety
• Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement
• Support other areas of the warehouse operation as required

In addition to the above, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties to support the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse and logistics operation.

This role operates on a structured shift pattern to promote consistency, teamwork, and routine. Flexibility with working hours and holidays is essential, including providing cover for colleagues when required.
