Job summary

Lindab Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Stretford. You will accurately receive, check, and process goods, ensuring quality and correct quantities, and support KPI achievement.

You will pick, pack, dispatch orders, store stock, and operate pallet trucks and forklifts (if trained) while following health and safety guidelines. We offer 25 days leave, pension, life assurance, and a supportive team culture.

Would you like to develop your skills in warehouse operations and have a passion for delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality work?

Then you might be the person we are looking for! Take on the role as Warehouse Operative and report to our Distribution Manager supporting KPI achievement across the team.

Your primary tasks will be

• You will accurately receive, check, and process all goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring quantities and quality meet company standards.
• You will pick, pack, and dispatch customer and site orders safely, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail.
• You will safely store stock, maintain accurate inventory levels, and support regular stock counts and rotation.
• You will operate warehouse equipment—including pallet trucks and forklifts (Reach and/or Counterbalance) where trained-while following all Health & Safety procedures.
• You will help maintain a clean, tidy, and compliant working environment by managing waste appropriately and completing routine safety checks.

Are you our new colleague?

You are a friendly individual and have a deep knowledge of warehouse operations, including goods receiving, order picking, and stock handling. You have excellent understanding of safe manual handling and accurate stock control. You have experience of working in a busy warehouse environment, and it's an advantage if you have worked with forklifts (Reach and/or Counterbalance) or supported customer-facing trade counter tasks.

As a person you are detail-oriented and reliable. You are also physically capable and safety-conscious. In your way of working, you are organised, efficient, and committed to maintaining a clean, structured workspace.

• Hours: 7am - 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 7am - 3pm on Friday inclusive of 30-minute lunch
