Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Warehouse Shift Supervisor for our Markham Vale site in the United Kingdom. You will support the Shift Manager in daily warehouse operations, ensuring service targets, cost targets and safety standards are met while maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Salary is £32,538 per annum with 4 on 4 off days (06:00 - 18:00). The role involves coordinating activities, supervising staff, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail.
• Team player capable of using own initiative.
• In-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
• PC literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to lead a team, delegate, supervise and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Manager in coordinating issues within the warehouse.
• Conduct effective accident/incident investigations.
• Schedule and supervise warehouse staff activities and functions.
• Ensure timely completion of warehouse activities.
• Communicate plans with Operations Controllers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and procedures.
• Maintain records of team performance and flag potential disruption causes.
• Organise training and development for warehouse staff and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Offer regular feedback on performance and development needs.
• Manage absence levels and ensure adequate cover.
• Participate in management discussions to improve efficiency and service.
