Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, invites applications for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor in Chorley. You will support the Shift Manager in day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring targets are met, safety rules are followed, and housekeeping standards are maintained.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm with occasional weekend cover. Salary is £30,986.77 per year, plus benefits including a pension, life assurance, wellness support, eye care vouchers and retailer discounts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high attention to detail.
• Team player able to use initiative.
• Experience with on-site systems and SAP/PKMS is useful.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating warehouse issues.
• Lead staff scheduling and supervision.
• Ensure timely completion of activities.
• Communicate plans to Operations Controllers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Maintain Health & Safety compliance and housekeeping standards.
• Keep records of team performance and advise on disruptions.
• Assist in training and development for staff and provide coaching.
• Offer regular feedback on performance.
