Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor in Chorley to support day-to-day warehouse operations on a full-time basis. You will assist in coordinating activities, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Salary is £30,986.77 per year with Monday–Friday hours and rotating shifts. The role requires attention to detail, leadership, and knowledge of on-site systems to drive excellent customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in warehouse tasks.
• Team player capable of leading on-site teams.
• Knowledge of on-site systems and ERP software (SAP, PKMS).
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage a team, delegate and motivate staff.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate warehouse issues in collaboration with the Shift Manager.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff to meet targets.
• Ensure timely completion of warehouse activities and safety compliance.
• Communicate plans with Operations Controllers to satisfy customers.
• Maintain health and safety policy adherence and record performance data.
• Organise training and development for staff and provide feedback.
