Qualifications

Job Length

Permanent

Working Hours

45 hours per week working on a 3 shift rotating pattern. Either 6am to 3pm, 2pm to 11pm or 11pm to 6am on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility required to work outside of these hours to suit business needs.

About the Role

As Warehouse Shift Manager you will lead and support the team to keep operations running safely, accurately, and on time. You will be hands‑on in ensuring stock is handled correctly, orders are picked with accuracy, and our people have the right support to perform at their best. This position is essential to delivering excellent service to our customers each day.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the warehouse operations during the shifts, ensuring orders are picked accurately and on time (inbound replenishment and outbound).
  • Check for picking accuracy and breakages, investigate where necessary.
  • Ensure safe handling of kegs, bottles and other heavy or fragile items.
  • Manage and develop a team of warehouse operatives and forklift drivers.
  • Oversee proper use of equipment (forklifts, PPT) and complete regular safety checks.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings, allocating resources based on workload and priorities.
  • Monitor performance, handle absence/disciplinary issues and foster a safe, motivated and efficient team environment.
  • Work closely with the transport and office teams to ensure smooth operations and meeting overall site objectives.
  • Hold health and safety at the forefront of all warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with Health & Safety regulations.
Experience and Key Attributes
  • IT literate with experience using MS Office and SAP.
  • Experience managing or supervising a warehouse team.
  • Experience working in a warehouse for an FMCG.
  • FLT licence (desired) and experience (essential).
  • Manual Handling qualification.
  • Customer Service skills.
