Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced order picker for a fast-paced warehouse environment in the UK. You will perform order picking, decanting, and stock processing, scanning goods with handheld RF scanners, and re-labelling products for onward distribution.

The role requires good English, solid physical fitness, and the ability to work 11:00–19:00, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend overtime during peak periods. Temporary contract with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in order picking or warehouse environment.
• Experience using handheld RF scanners and barcode scanners/readers and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Good spoken and written English.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and some heavy lifting.

Job Description

EXPERIENCED ORDER PICKERS REQUIRED.
The successful candidate will be working within a fast-paced industrial environment, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of goods through the warehouse operation. Duties will include order picking, decanting and processing stock, scanning goods using handheld RF scanners and barcode readers, re-labelling products, and preparing items for onward distribution.
You will be required to work with internal warehouse systems to ensure stock is correctly recorded, processed and prepared for dispatch. The role will involve handling goods through various stages of the warehouse process, maintaining accuracy and productivity targets, and ensuring all items meet the required standards before being sent back out.
You will also provide support to the packing and dispatch department, which will involve manual handling and some heavier lifting. A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work efficiently throughout the shift are therefore required.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: This role pays an hourly rate of £12.71.

Working Hours: Hours/days are 11:00 – 19:00, Monday to Friday.Occasional weekend overtime may be available, particularly during the busy run-up to Christmas.
