Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking experienced order pickers for a busy Leicester warehouse. You will process goods through the warehouse, using RF scanners and barcode readers, with duties including decanting, re-labelling and preparing items for onward distribution.

The role requires accuracy, physical fitness for manual handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Job Description

Seeking experienced Order Pickers to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Leicester, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidate will be working within a fast-paced industrial environment, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of goods through the warehouse operation. Duties will include order picking, decanting and processing stock, scanning goods using handheld RF scanners and barcode readers, re-labelling products, and preparing items for onward distribution.
You will be required to work with internal warehouse systems to ensure stock is correctly recorded, processed and prepared for dispatch. The role will involve handling goods through various stages of the warehouse process, maintaining accuracy and productivity targets, and ensuring all items meet the required standards before being sent back out.
You will also provide support to the packing and dispatch department, which will involve manual handling and some heavier lifting. A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work efficiently throughout the shift are therefore required.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: In return for your hard work, you will earn an hourly rate of £12.71.

Working Hours: You will be working Monday to Friday, 11:00 – 19:00.Occasional weekend overtime may be available, particularly during the busy run-up to Christmas.

Experience & Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

• Previous experience within an order picking, warehouse, logistics or distribution environment is essential.


• Experience using handheld RF scanners, barcode scanners/readers and warehouse management systems is essential.


• Previous experience of stock processing, decanting, re-labelling and packing would be advantageous.


• Good spoken and written English is essential.


• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.


• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and instructions.


• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual handling and some heavy lifting.


• A hard-working, punctual and reliable approach is essential.
