Job summary

Gregory Distribution operates a warehouse at the Coalville site, seeking a Warehouse Operative. You will use WMS and scanners to accurately receive, locate, replenish and dispatch stock, while loading/unloading vehicles and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role includes forklift operation training if needed, and the team works Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30, with paid overtime and a competitive base salary. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential.

Job description

Job Description: Are you passionate about Warehouse and Logistics and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Coalville site. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift trucks where required to support warehouse operations (full training provided).
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, including the manual handling of caged goods and occasional palletised stock, in line with company procedures and health and safety standards.
• Use warehouse management systems and scanners to receive, locate, replenish and dispatch stock accurately, ensuring customer orders are picked, sorted and prepared to a high standard.
• Replenish and consolidate stock as required, assembling cages and ensuring goods are stored safely within racking locations.
• Assist with warehouse duties including pallet breakdown, pallet wrapping, labelling and general order preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment, ensuring all warehouse equipment is used responsibly and kept in good working order.
  Experience operating Counterbalance, PPT & VNA trucks is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
• Good communication and team working skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00hrs - 14:30hrs

Competitive Salary: £27,580 per annum, based on a 40-hour working week, plus excellent overtime opportunities. Any hours worked over 40 per week are paid at £16.58 per hour, with additional shifts paid at £16.58 per hour on Saturdays and £19.89 per hour on Sundays. Premium rates of £26.52 per hour apply on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
