Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. operates from Cullompton with flexibility to support North Tawton and Heathfield depots. This casual/zero‑hours warehouse role offers an hourly rate of £14.24, with shifts on a casual, as-required basis and no guaranteed weekly hours.

Training is provided for forklift operation and you will work with a team to ensure accurate receiving, picking and dispatching of goods. The role requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to travel between sites, and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel between sites.
• Desirable but not essential: at least 1 current forklift licence (training provided).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail is required in picking, packing and paperwork.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay on your feet and stay adaptable.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are needed to read instructions and complete documentation.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Use Counterbalance, Reach and Pivot Trucks to support warehouse operations (training provided).
• Operate warehouse systems and handheld scanners to receive, locate, pick and dispatch goods.
• Handle goods with care, ensuring quality and safety throughout the process.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory to keep the warehouse organised.
• Support general warehouse tasks including pallet wrapping, labelling and preparing goods for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workspace and report issues promptly.
• Complete essential paperwork and follow warehouse procedures.

Shift

Casual / Zero Hours - no guaranteed work or fixed hours

Key Responsibilities

• Use of Counterbalance, Reach and Pivot Trucks to support warehouse operations (training will be provided).
• Operate warehouse systems and handheld scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods. You'll play a key role in ensuring our customers get the right products, on time.
• Handle all goods with care and precision, maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the process.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory to keep our warehouse organised and ready for demand.
• Support general warehouse tasks, including pallet wrapping, labelling, and preparing goods for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is used responsibly and kept in good working order.
• Complete essential paperwork and follow warehouse procedures, reporting any issues or defects promptly to help us continuously improve.

Requirements

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel between sites as required.
• Hold at least 1 current forklift licence of the above FLT Trucks used within our Warehouse operations is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills - You'll be working closely with others, so being able to share information clearly and collaborate effectively is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail - Accuracy matters in every part of the process, from picking and packing to paperwork.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment - You'll be on your feet and busy, so energy and adaptability are key.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills - You'll need to read instructions, complete documentation, and handle stock counts confidently.
• Self‑motivated and proactive - Whether working independently or as part of a team, you'll take initiative and get the job done.
